The Prestonsburg City Council gave final approval to a $20,658,150 budget for the 2026-2027 fiscal year, which begins July 1. Prior to council's approval of the budget's second reading during its regular meeting June 22, member Robert Allen said it was time to look at additional revenue sources for the city.
