1 Introduction Hip fractures lead to substantial morbidity, mortality, and expenditures in older adults, with a projected increase in global incidence due to an aging population [1-3]. Expenditures encompass acute and post-acute care services related to the fracture episode and long-term care needs due to sequelae [1-3]. In community-dwelling older adults, multimorbidity and frailty increase the risk of hip fracture [4, 5] and also further limit recovery after hip fracture [5, 6].

1 Introduction Glycoproteins comprise the majority of biotherapeutic drugs, contributing to the billions of dollars in worldwide sales of biotherapeutics [1]. These glycoproteins, produced in living cells using recombinant DNA (rDNA) technology, must be regulated for post-translational glycosylation. Sialylation is critical for maintaining desired pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics (PK/PD) to achieve improved serum half-life, bioactivity, and protein stability.

18 kDa TSPO specific ligand based polymeric nanoformulation: Synthesis, computational and biological studies The 18 kDa Translocator protein (TSPO) serves as a promising target for drug delivery and imaging applications. In this investigation, we have encapsulated MCBP, a TSPO compound based on acetamidobenzoxazolone, within a poly(D,L-lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA) polymer to evaluate the effectiveness of MCBP-PLGA-NP as a targeted carrier for drug delivery.
