The Austin Police Department was on scene of the incident on Saturday morning. Zoe Collins Rath Austin police shot and killed a person who allegedly waving a firearm at others, officials say. Police told the American-Statesman on Saturday morning that multiple 911 calls were made alleging that a man was pointing a firearm at people at random. When officers arrived to the scene in the 11000 block of West Cesar Chavez Boulevard, a man was shot during an interaction with police.
