Have you ever used a typewriter?
I wanted to play piano as a kid. But we were poor and couldn’t afford one. So, to develop strength in my fingers, my teacher had me practice striking keys on a 1937 Antique Vintage Royal Manual Typewriter. I eventually became the 2nd best typist in my high school senior class.

laptop, smartphone, Microsoft, Apple, paper, pen, pencil (not kidding)
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Just write. You can always edit. Overthinking gets in the way.
