Turner has served on the editorial staff for OCMN since its launch. With a BA in broadcasting from the University of La Verne, she has covered the music scene since her early days in radio at KROQ in Los Angeles. Before joining OCMN, Turner was an on-air personality at radio stations in Milwaukee, Philadelphia, Nashville, Wilkes-Barre, and Austin, and has worked for a variety of magazines as an editor. Turner currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee.

What was your first job as a journalist?

My college had a newspaper and live radio station and I worked on both, but I was even on the high school newspaper staff!

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

I did! I was a staff writer and perhaps could have been more if I did not ditch school so much!

What's the worst pitch you ever got?

Despite me stating I only cover music, someone REALLY wanted me to write about their washers and dryers!?
