The National Weather Service says there could be enough rainfall over a long enough period of time to cause flooding. Heavy rains leave at least 11 dead in the Austin region; flood warning for river in Georgetown

At least 11 people are dead and several others are missing in Travis, Williamson and Burnet counties after flash floods swept through the area Saturday. The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for the south fork of the San Gabriel River in Georgetown until Monday afternoon. A flood warning means that flooding is imminent or already occurring. Exercise caution when walking near the river, especially at night, and don't drive through flooded roads, the NWS said in the warning.
