The victory seemingly opened up a variety of new possibilities for the Brazilian. Thus far, however, he’s been kept on ice.

Ethyn Ewing has been forced to withdraw from a proposed bantamweight clash against Farid Basharat due to an undisclosed injury. Best Fight Picks was first to report Ewing’s exit from the event. The Las Vegas-based promotion is reportedly seeking a replacement opponent for Basharat on short notice. Ewing vs. Basharat was slated for the early preliminary lineup.
