Feels warmer than 74 degrees Fahrenheit. Beautiful day. About 2330 local time I woke up to the sound of a helicopter making a landing where you see the cones. There were many emergency vehicles. My photo didn’t come out clear. As you might imagine we have many emergency care flights out of the valley during ski season.

Green,1971 Silver,1972 Black,1974 and yellow from 1976. look forward to seeing what interesting watches you are all wearing today.

1943 Tissot Militar. This had a horribly worn case when i got it, like someone had tried to sand it down, but i recall a bit of chrome remaining. Maybe it was originally polished Brass, who knows. I had it serviced and asked my watchmaker to sent the case out for new chrome plating. Looks way nicer now. Let's show the Watch Collecting World what's on our wrist. Enjoy your day, Jim AKA Ol' ZJ

Just received my first bespoke canvas strap from Dan Barr over at Red Rock Straps. Now I see what all the fuss is about. The quality is excellent, as was the customer experience. Dan sort of customized this Denim Blue 12oz canvas strap by sewing in some 1.5mm curved quick release springs bars that I purchased from Delugs. Dig the look.

Favre - Leuba Harpoon Ii. One of my everyday favorites. It's in good shape ,had it serviced. Definatly not my most expensive watch, if i bump it into something, i won't freak out. The reason I like it is that the bracelet is very comfortable, might be due to the narrow links, and that it is a nice Gold plated watch. Favre- Leuba is Switzerland's 2nd oldest watch company. I don't recall seeing any others posted here.

Waltham 1917 WWI Trench Watch. 107 years old and still ticking strong. Beautifully restored. The case is solid silver and the crown gold filled. When I wear it I don't want to take it off.

1941 Universal Geneve Dutch Army watch. The W with the Crown on top represents Queen Wilhelmina, who was Queen during WW1 and 2. I did some " research " on this watch and the Netherlands. lower photo shows 4 other makers of Dutch military watches Queen Wilhelmina became the first woman to become a Billionaire from her private businesses. Wikipedia did not disclose what type of businesses she had. She passed away in 1962. Wikipedia has quite a bit on the Netherlands and the Queen.

Elliot Brown Bloxworth Chrono On OEM fitted rubber. These 'solid' strap bars quite tricky to get through the shoulder of the strap - they are a bit fatter than the latest properly solid threaded style that screw into the opposite lug, these are actually a tube that goes through both lugs, and a small screw is inserted from the far side into the (threaded) open end.

Especially since with a great power reserve, it doesn't need to go on the winder every night.
