SurveyXact version 13 (Rambøll Management Consulting www.surveyxact.dk), a secure electronic database, was used to email the questionnaires and capture responses from the questionnaires. Patients who completed the baseline questionnaire and consented to use their data for research and quality development purposes prior to the consultation were emailed follow-up questionnaires at 4 and 12 weeks after the consultation (1-month and 3-month follow-up).

1 INTRODUCTION Low back pain (LBP) is a major health problem worldwide and a leading cause of disability (Collaborators, 2023). It is associated with social isolation, economic burden, and early retirement (Fernandez et al., 2017). Patients with LBP often express frustration and hopelessness when they talk about their experiences with the healthcare system (MacNeela et al., 2015; Rossen et al., 2021).
