In the spring of 2022, French niche perfume house Frapin & Cie launched its new fragrance named 1270 Extrême. The number in the fragrance name, 1270, is historical: For the Frapin family, 1270 was the year of the first mention of their family in the Charente region. Since the 12th century, at the behest of the Duke of Aquitaine, Guillaume X Saint, large vineyards were planted in the region, and the Frapin family took up winemaking.

I believe I was among the first customers of Iman, I couldn't wait to smell it when the fragrance was announced. When it arrived, I couldn't wear it. I wasn't disappointed, but the fragrance was too bold for me. I was utterly surprised by its daring uneasiness. However, after many months, of looking at it and occasionally spraying I started to appreciate it. I am telling you this because I suspect that my story is not unique. Love Memoir is not a usual celebrity fragrance.

One of the fragrances that caught my interest during the last edition of Esxence was the novelty from Pantheon Roma, called Aurea. This is a fragrance composed by Italian perfumer Arturetto Landi, under the direction of Paolo Fadelli, who very kindly showed me the scent and told me about its concept, revolving around the famous Italian artist Raphael and the discovery of the grotesque paintings of the Domus Aurea. Raphael's eyes saw beauty everywhere.
