Association between lactate-to-albumin ratio and 28-day mortality in critically ill patients with HFpEF: a retrospectively cohort study
Abstract Previous studies have established associations between elevated lactate-to-albumin ratio (LAR) and mortality in sepsis or critically ill populations. However, its prognostic significance specifically among heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) patients remains underexplored. This study aims to elucidate the relationship between LAR and 28-day all-cause mortality in critically ill patients with HFpEF.
Association between hemoglobin and all-cause mortality in patients with obstructive sleep apnea and hypertension: insights from an observational study
Abstract Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a widespread disorder impacting more than one billion individuals globally. Hypertension, a frequent cardiovascular comorbidity associated with OSA, can exacerbate and advance the condition. Recent research has identified a synergistic effect between anemia and OSA concerning the development of hypertension.
The role of red blood cell distribution width in prognosis prediction among critically ill patients with obstructive sleep apnea: Insights from the MIMIC-IV database | Scientific Reports
Abstract Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is prevalent in critically ill patients and associated with increased mortality. This study aimed to investigate the association between red blood cell distribution width (RDW) at admission and one-year mortality in critically ill OSA patients. A retrospective cohort study involving 1950 critically ill patients with OSA from the MIMIC-IV (v3.1) database.

Parameter sensitivity analysis and optimization for a satellite-based evapotranspiration model across multiple sites using MODIS and Flux data
Global and regional estimates of daily evapotranspiration are essential to our understanding of the hydrologic cycle and climate change. In this study, we selected the radiation-based PT-JPL model and assessed it at a daily time-scale using 44 flux towers. These towers distributed in a wide range of ecological systems: croplands, deciduous broadleaf forest, evergreen broadleaf forest, evergreen needleleaf forest, grasslands, mixed forests, savannas and shrublands.
