WordPress, Microsoft Word & Excel, QuickTime, Adobe Premiere Pro, R Studio, Synergy Sports Tech, etc.
What's your favorite social network?
Twitter, easily.
Why did you become a journalist?
I loved stories as a kid. As a teenager, basketball entered the picture. It only made sense to blend the two together.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
My high school didn't prioritize journalism, but for the final year that we had a paper, I wrote about basketball as much as possible.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
A 4,000-word profile on Chris Clemons, the 5'9" point guard from Campbell who finished as one of the top scorers in NCAA Basketball history.
What's your favorite drink?
Sweet Grapefruit Rosé. Why spend money on expensive wine when you can get something cheap off the rack at Food Lion?
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
The next best thing: My phone or my iPad.
Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?
Both ESPN and The Athletic employ some of the best sportswriters, analysts, and storytellers in the world.
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
Sportswriting is much more than what transpires on the court, on the field, on the pitch.
