A small wildfire south of Princeton is being downgraded from “out-of-control” to “held.” According to the BC Wildfire Service (BCWS), the spot fire was discovered early on Sunday, July 5. At around 8:30 a.m., the Regional District of Okanagan Similkameen wrote on Facebook that they were aware of the fire and no action was required. The blaze grew to 0.009 hectares in size before it was classified as “being held” by the BCWS, meaning the flames will likely stay within its current perimeter.
