My first time being a journalist was when I was a senior in high school for my school's newspaper.

Social media and big tech that operates it is juristically changing news to be entertainment rather than news, divisive rather than unifying.

What does it mean to be a journalist?
To be a journalist is to remove one's own biases and be objective and clever in the pursuit of truth.
What's the funniest news-related #hashtag you've seen?
I am not for sure. I do not follow hashtags too closely.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
I prefer to be briefed with 1-3 paragraphs of information about the story as well as receiving at least two potential sources.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
I use google drive, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Premier Pro, and InDesign primarily.
What's your favorite social network?
If I would have to choose, probably Twitter, but I really dislike all of them in the present state they are in now.
Who do you wish followed you?
I am not sure I care who and who doesn't follow me. All I care is if I am able to change the world for the better.
Why did you become a journalist?
To pursue and find truth for myself and the world.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
Yes! I focused mainly on writing sports and opinion articles for the paper as well as being involved with video production and broadcasts.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
My proudest story I worked on was an article about surveillance capitalism.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Truth is the most important aspect of life. Without it, everything else falls apart.
When's the best time to pitch you?
Any time of the day email works for me. I am the most available in early mornings and evenings.

To be honest I have not received too many pitches yet.
What's the worst pitch you ever got?
I have never gotten a pitch I really really disliked.
What's your favorite drink?
Water.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Most likely on a run.
Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?
I enjoy reading AP News, The Hill, The New York Times, and CNN, in that order.
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
I would say the most common misperception about any is that it is simple when in reality it is extremely complex, no matter the topic.
