This third quarter of the season for the Detroit Pistons has been the best stretch in over a decade. So how does each position group grade out? This has been one of the best quarters of a season for the Detroit Pistons in years. Last quarter, the Pistons were surging, but they’ve taken it to a new level over the last 20 games. Throughout this stretch, they are not only one of the most efficient offensive teams in the NBA, but they are also top three in defensive efficiency.

The Detroit Pistons still have a big Jalen Duren question to answer this summer. We wrote an article just last week detailing whether Jalen Duren is doing enough to warrant an extension. Both he and Jaden Ivey are due for a pay day after this season, and some major questions still need to be answered within the organization.

Coming into this season, the Detroit Pistons' new front office was tasked with a number of things, including the future extensions of both Jaden Ivey and Jalen Duren. Both players have had injuries and inconsistant play (and minutes) derail some of their previous seasons, and the time has nearly come to decide if they will be a part of Detroit’s long-term plans. Jaden Ivey has done more than expected during his time before the injury that most people would agree makes him worthy of an extension.
