Kira Lewis Jr. to Forgo Remaining Eligibility, Sign with Agent
University of Alabama guard Kira Lewis Jr. announced on Tuesday morning that he would forgo his last two years of eligibility at the Capstone and sign with an agent, keeping his name in the NBA draft. He was the Crimson Tide’s leading scorer last season, averaging 18.5 points, while shooting an efficient 45.9 percent from the field. The Meridianville, Ala. native also led the team in assists (5.2), steals (1.8), minutes (37.6), and field goals made (206).

Skutt crowned Class B football State Champions with win over Scottsbluff
LINCOLN, Neb. (KMTV) - Skutt got out to a slow start, but didn't look back from the second quarter on as the Skyhawks down Scottsbluff 48-27 to claim their fourth Class B state championship in program history. Scottsbluff struck first after a blocked punt on the Skyhawks' first drive of the game with a two yard touchdown run from Christ Busby. The Bearcats forced yet another fumble in the second quarter and capitalized with a touchdown pass to Jeremiah Delzer giving Scottsbluff the 14-0 lead.

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) - Nebraska football fought hard, but ultimately came up short 36-31 on the road against Ohio State Saturday afternoon. The Huskers' defense stepped up throughout much of the game, something Nebraska hasn't been able to do for the last couple years. Nebraska forced the Buckeyes to punt in the first half, something it hadn't done since 2015.The Blackshirts also forced three turnovers in the game, including a strip sack fumble for JoJo Domann in his first career start.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KMTV) - The wait to find out Nebraska's starting quarterback is finally over. Head coach Scott Frost released a depth chart Sunday morning. The Huskers will start Adrian Martinez against Akron on September 1st. It marks the first time in Husker history a true freshman will start a season opener at quarterback. Other depth chart notes include Greg Bell and Devine Ozigbo as the co-starting running backs. True freshmen Maurice Washington & Miles Jones are listed as the co-#2.

(KMTV) - Oregon State is the 2018 College World Series champion with a win over Arkansas behind an impressive performance from freshman pitcher Kevin Abel.The Beavers trailed game two 3-2 in the 8th inning, but came back in dramatic fashion to force a game three Thursday. Abel threw 23 pitches in relief in Thursday's matchup, but still started game three Thursday. Abel recorded 10 strikeouts in a two-hit shutout over the Razorbacks.

Creighton basketball announced it will host an NCAA Tournament Selection Sunday viewing party Sunday afternoon at D.J. Sokol Arena that will be open to fans. The selection show will air nationally on TBS at 5 p.m., but fans can enter the arena at 4 p.m. Admission is free and concession stands will be open with food and drink available for purchase.
