If you had told me as a kid running around Cisco’s San Jose headquarters that I’d one day build my career here, I probably would’ve believed you, but only because Cisco has always been a part of my life. My dad has worked at Cisco for as long as I can remember, and some of my earliest memories include sitting on the couch with my sister, “helping” him study for his CCIE — at age three. So technically, my Cisco journey started before I could even spell Cisco.

Cal rugby delivered a commanding performance Saturday, defeating the University of British Columbia 38-7 at Thunderbird Stadium in the 100th edition of the World Cup rivalry — a fixture that has long stood as one of the most storied matchups in rugby. Behind a balanced scoring attack and relentless forward pressure, the Bears asserted their ground against the Thunderbirds. Senior lock Byron Finley led the charge for Cal, scoring two tries and setting the tone early.

In front of an energetic home crowd at Spieker Aquatics Complex, No. 4 Cal men’s swimming and diving delivered a strong performance in the annual Triple Distance Meet against No. 8 Stanford. Although the meet operated under a non-scoring format, the Bears took command of the day against the Cardinals, finishing with 12 first-place swims out of the 20 events. The Triple Distance Meet is designed to push swimmers out of their comfort zone.
