Implementing a virtual reality-based intervention to support the wellbeing of mental health staff in the workplace: A mixed-methods pilot study

Abstract Mental health staff experience high stress levels. Novel workplace stress-management interventions are needed. This study aimed to evaluate a virtual reality (VR)-based staff support intervention. Participants (N = 43) were a wide range of multidisciplinary mental health staff from outpatient and inpatient services at the South London & Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. Participants received a single VR session, including virtual art, nature walks, and meditations.
