Last week, researchers at the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation at the University of Washington in Seattle published a new study in The Lancet Public Health that evaluated how much of life is spent in poor health across 204 countries, including Türkiye. The study marks a major shift in how we think about public health: the world has become better at keeping people alive than at keeping them healthy.
