Karen Knudsen, Executive Strategic Advisor and Immediate Past CEO of the American Cancer Society (ACS), shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent paper by Francesco Bettariga, PhD candidate at the Exercise Medicine Research Institute, published in British Journal of Sports Medicine: “Yet another reason to hit the gym! We all know that exercise is cancer prevention, but it turns out to have a powerful role in cancer survivorship as well.

The present decade has brought a renewed interest in lunar exploration, with forthcoming missions aimed at returning humans to the Moon’s surface and establishing long-term human settlements [1–3]. Such an ambitious endeavour, however, comes with a multitude of challenges. Among them, the decrease or lack of gravity detrimentally affects astronauts’ cardiorespiratory fitness, musculoskeletal system, and neural control of posture and movement [4–10].
