[2610.09322] Cross-Validation of Open-Source Quantum Network Simulators
We present a comparative analysis of two open-source quantum network simulators, QuISP and SeQUeNCe, focusing on cross-validation of basic networking tasks to ensure consistency and accuracy in simulation outputs. Although both simulators are designed to study quantum network management policies and their dynamics under complex noise models, their differing underlying assumptions can lead to variations in simulation results.

Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is a highly aggressive malignancy with a poor prognosis, largely due to late diagnosis and limited response to currently available therapies. Identifying effective drug combinations that harness PDAC-specific vulnerabilities remains a major challenge for molecularly targeted therapy. Oncogenic mutations in the KRAS gene, which are found in over 90% of PDAC patients, play a critical role in PDAC.

Unique factors to the implementation of a disaster... : The Nurse Practitioner
Figure Disasters change the framework of our everyday lives. Natural disasters and terrorist activities are just two incidents that have prompted the need for ongoing disaster preparedness education, prevention initiatives, and response drills. Once dependent on a foreseeable event, domestic disaster preparedness plans have expanded to include not only the federal and state governments but also hospitals, EDs, small businesses, and even individual households.

‘Why I mask up’
Dear Editor: I am 38 years old, and I had a good friend my age with no underlying health concerns spend 20 days on a ventilator in April. Since then, I have always tried to wear a mask when entering enclosed public spaces and businesses. I am very careful to make sure my mask covers both my mouth and nose. It is not fun, or novel, and I don’t do it to make some political or social statement. I do it for myself, because I don’t want to end up like my friend.

In early January we learned that China was experiencing an epidemic from a new cross-species virus with potential to cause a world pandemic.

Reader: ‘vote with your faith informing your decision’
The other day a Republican friend encouraged me to vote in accordance to the scriptures, insinuating that would be with the Republican ticket. Really? For the past many years my personal experiences, largely guided by my Christian faith, have led me to favor Democratic candidates. Why? By example and teaching Jesus admonishes us to take care of the “least of these” – those suffering from illness, those without solid means of support (the widows and orphans), the lonely and those in prison.
