3.4. Optical Studies/UV–Vis Absorption Figure 6a displays the UV–Vis absorbance spectra of the pure ZnO and Ni-doped ZnO nanostructures, with Ni-doping concentrations of 1%, 2%, and 3%, as a function of the light wavelength in the range of 200–800 nm. In the pure ZnO samples, a prominent absorption edge at 380 nm can be observed in the UV–Vis spectrum.
