1. Introduction Clinical practice guidelines recommend testing individuals diagnosed with cancer to identify carriers of germline pathogenic variants [1]. Upon identifying a germline pathogenic variant, offering cascade genetic testing to cancer-free relatives promotes primary and secondary cancer prevention. Cascade testing for Hereditary Breast and Ovarian Cancer syndrome (HBOC) has been described by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as a Tier 1 genetic application [2].
