1 Introduction Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastics (CFRP) is a structural material composed of high-strength carbon fibers as the reinforcing phase and resin as the matrix. Carbon fibers, as the main load-bearing part of CFRP, are continuous filaments with a diameter of approximately 5–10 μm, made from polyacrylonitrile and asphalt filaments through a carbonization process. Carbon fibers possess characteristics such as lightweight, high strength, high modulus, and stable chemical properties.

The thus formed Ni3S2 quantum dots are assembled onto exfoliated graphene oxide sheets hydrothermally to form nickel sulfide-graphene oxide nanocomposite material (GO-Ni3S2).

Gd doped molybdenum selenide/carbon nanofiber: an excellent electrocatalyst for monitoring endogenous H2S In recent years, transition metal dichalcogenides have become increasingly popular in electrochemical sensors due to their excellent redox properties. Herein, a highly efficient electrocatalyst, Gd3+ doped molybdenum selenide with carbon nanofiber (Gd-MoSe2/CNF) is synthesized for electrocatalytic sensing of H2S. The synthesis involves a facile and quick hydrothermal treatment.
