Methods and analysis Our scoping review is carried out in accordance with the methodology initially proposed by Arksey and O’Malley16 and further developed by Levac et al 17 and the Joanna Briggs Institute.18 It includes a six-stage methodological framework which we apply in our scoping review: (1) identifying the research question; (2) identifying relevant studies; (3) study selection; (4) charting the data; (5) collating, summarising and reporting results and (6) consultation.
