A burgeoning retail hub with a storied history as a meat market, pharmacy, technology center and, most recently, antique mall is sprouting to life along a stretch of downtown Milwaukie. The buildings — located on Southeast Main and Monroe streets and built as far back as 1939 — have cycled through a series of tenants and vacancies in recent decades. Until closing last fall, the corner space belonged to Main Street Collectors Mall, a treasure trove of antiques that opened in 2002.
