Why did you become a journalist?

I am insatiably curious about what moves other people to action or inaction and I was born with a quill pen in my hand (sorry mom).

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

Yes. I was the editor of the Feature page.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

My story on bullying at Forbes "On the Docket," which was picked up widely and contributed to a national discussion about anti-bullying laws.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Be curious, alert and humble.
