Where to eat and explore in the luxury holiday hotspot of Dubai
I’ll be honest with you; Dubai always seemed like a playground for the uber rich to me – a destination for those who prefer stretch limos and yacht parties to culture and great food. But don’t let Netflix’s Dubai Bling fool you. Yes, there is that side to Dubai, but the city is so much more. Where to dine and drink While celebrity-chef laden, Insta-famous restaurants are aplenty, Dubai’s dining scene is far more eclectic.

Chicken spring rolls are a moreish starter perfect for your next party
Skip to Content By Victoria ChandlerPublished: 19 December 2023 This recipe makes a great starter and we love using chicken spiced with Chinese five-spice powder to give it a rich, deep flavour. Together with crunchy vegetables, this is a more-ish indulgent starter suitable for sharing and making for larger crowds as the rolls can be made ahead and frozen and then fried from frozen.
Mastering homemade samosas is satisfyingly good
Skip to Content By Victoria ChandlerPublished: 19 December 2023 We LOVE making samosas. One of the most therapeutic dishes to make as you get lost in the filling and folding of those filo parcels. Admittedly, we cheat when making anything with filo. Like Mary Berry once said: “Life’s too short to make your own filo pastry.” This recipe uses chicken mince, but you can use whatever mince you want – lamb and pork are other great options. And don’t be put off by the multitude of spices.

If you've been to Greece, or even just a Greek restaurant with their immense hospitality, then it's likely you've had a glass of ouzo, an anise-flavoured aperitif. I've added both sparkling wine and soda water, but if you're wanting something lower, swap out the Prosecco and go with 120ml soda water.
