"Let perfumery be the last refuge of beauty and fantasy." — Perfumer Yuri Gutsatz (1914-2005), founder of Le Jardin Retrouvé Yuri Gutsatz, a co-founder of The Osmothèque, is widely regarded as a niche fragrance trailblazer. Le Jardin Retrouvé, the first niche perfume establishment, was founded in 1975 (a year before Jean Laporte's L'Artisan Parfumeur).

The allure of Coty Wild Musk has always been that it was the embodiment of its name and the best incarnation of what people called "a drugstore perfume". For American users (and anglosaxon ones in general) the drugstore is a huge haven of assorted little cheap treasures and fripperies, distinguished from the chicer and more streamlined French or Greek pharmacy with the wooden shelves on the wall and the amphora jars with medicinal plants stacked on them.

The MITH Bangkok Perfume Project, launched by Jutinath Piyaweerawong in 2015, is dedicated to a noble and patriotic goal: to create a perfume brand of quality Thai fragrances that are affordable to the majority of Thai people.
