It just happened to release right around the time when I was really drowning in my university courseload, and my mental health was at an all time low.

Diablo Immortal's 5.0 update is one of the biggest additions the game has seen in a while. There's a new story chapter, a return to the iconic city of Lut Gholein, fresh Helliquary content, and a bunch of new things for endgame players to sink their teeth into. But let's be honest: none of that is the headline. The real attraction here is the Warlock, Diablo Immortal's latest class and arguably its most visually striking one yet.

Few RPGs have achieved the cult status of Gothic. Released in 2001, the original game earned a devout fan following thanks to its immersive world, challenging progression, and refusal to hold the player's hand. While I’ve personally never played Gothic, I know it to be an inspiration behind a lot of games I consider among my all-time favourites, including The Witcher and Dragon’s Dogma.
