How is social media changing news?

Presence here is non-negotiable. It functions as more of a narrative shaping tool for publications and others.

Why did you become a journalist?

I would say my ethnographic desire to understand the society and also share stories about it.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

I did not. Post J-school, most of my learning has been on the jobs I've had.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

Data stories and several ones, including antitrust merger remedies pieces, to labour market enforcement in Europe.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Be straightforward and always attempt to cover the developments in a neutral tone.

When's the best time to pitch you?

Noon hours

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

Reading or at the football turf
