WHY ATLAS? May be because we wanted to distinguish divisare from the web that is condemned to a sort of vertical communication, always with the newest architecture at the top of the page, as the "cover story," "the focus." Content that was destined, just like the oh-so-new architecture that had just preceded it a few hours earlier, to rapidly slide down, day after day, lower and lower, in a vertical plunge towards the scrapheap of page 2.

Zaha Hadid Architects has completed work on its Zhuhai Jinwan Civic Art Centre. Featuring an eye-catching design that the studio says is inspired by the distinctive chevron patterns of migratory birds, the building is topped by four steel roof canopies that provide shading in the subtropical climate of southern China. The Zhuhai Jinwan Civic Art Centre is situated on a podium roughly in the center of a lake.

Those familiar with Zaha Hadid Architects' body of work should have no trouble recognizing its late founder's signature style in the Changsha Meixihu International Culture & Arts Centre. First conceived back in 2011, the project is now finally complete and hosting its first exhibit. The Changsha Meixihu International Culture & Arts Centre is split into three separate buildings that are arranged around pedestrian routes that crisscross the site.
