1 Introduction Halide perovskites have emerged as a prominent class of semiconductors, owing to their exceptional optoelectronic properties and multi-faceted application potential [1-5]. Layered halide perovskites are structurally engineered from 3D perovskites by inserting bulky organic spacer cations between inorganic metal–halide octahedral layers, and cleaving the 3D lattice along <100>, <110>, or <111> planes [6, 7].
