More women than men’s teams at the Olympic football tournaments, more mixed competitions and for the first time at the Olympic Games overall more athletes than athletes: The International Olympic Committee continues the trend of the past few years, 5333 women and 5167 men are to start at the summer games in Los Angeles 2028. The IOC announced this on Wednesday after a meeting of its executive committee.
