Brief report on IQOS point-of-sale marketing, promotion and pricing in IQOS retail partner stores in Atlanta, Georgia, USA

Discussion This study provides important initial findings on IQOS POS marketing and pricing practices in the first year of its launch in the USA. Our results show that the overall prevalence of IQOS marketing on the interior of the stores (98.5%) was comparable to other tobacco products (98.5%) and e-cigarettes (46 stores had marketing, only 51 sold the products), with HeatSticks visible to customers in 100% of stores.

Animal studies have demonstrated anti-diabetic properties of several food-derived polyphenols, but data in humans remains unclear. This study aimed to review and meta-analyse evidence concerning the effect of the intake of several polyphenol-rich foods on gestational diabetes (GDM) risk. A systematic literature search was conducted in PubMed, Web of Science and Embase databases for observational studies on the association between dietary intake of foods/diets rich in polyphenols and GDM risk.
