When I started out in school journalism and in radio/TV station there were no word processors or computers.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
It's a calling -- a great mission to have in life.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
E-mail is the best method but I should not be pitched unless it relates to my beat.

Twitter, by a long shot.

Anyone with an interest in Northeast Asia who is looking for accurate and timely information.
Why did you become a journalist?
I have tremendous curiosity about a myriad of subjects yet no patience to become an expert in any one of them.

Yes, I was the features editors.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Gain an expertise in college besides journalism and make sure you have a fluency in two or more languages.
