Former UGA QB David Greene on Mike Bobo, ‘Night to Shine’
David Greene, who gathered with some of his former UGA football teammates for last week’s ‘Night to Shine’ event, was not surprised that the Bulldogs moved so quickly to hire Mike Bobo as the replacement for Todd Monken as the team’s offensive coordinator. When Greene starred as Georgia’s quarterback in the early 2000s, Bobo was kicking off his coaching career as quarterbacks coach for the Bulldogs. “I certainly knew that Coach Bobo was qualified,” Greene told DawgNation on Tuesday.
Stetson Bennett back in underdog role with NFL combine approaching, Urban Meyer and Jim Donnan weigh in
If there’s a quarterback to watch in the 40-yard dash, it’s Bennett, who could run a number in the 4.4-second range. Still, one wonders if Bennett might be tempted to dust off the U.S. Postal Service cap he once wore at high school camps to gain attention and build his brand. It was an ingenuous approach back then, even if it didn’t lead to a scholarship offer from a Power 5 school.

He is expected to take on a larger role for Georgia’s outside linebackers this fall after the Bulldogs saw Nolan Smith and Robert Beal depart for the NFL.

McClendon was asked about another near-accident involving the ambulance that took him to the hospital, and he said “it was just a little bump.” The deadly accident occurred just hours after the Bulldogs’ football program celebrated its 2022 national championship season with an on-campus parade and ceremony at Sanford Stadium. The players were reportedly en route to meet up with other Georgia teammates and program members when the accident occurred at approximately 2:45 a.m. on Jan. 15.

Georgia football instant observations as Bulldogs go back-to-back with 2023 National Championship win
Like Neil McCauley in Heat, Georgia settled all scores with extreme discipline. The Bulldogs scored on all six of their first-half possessions, forced three turnovers and hounded TCU all night. It was a successful hunt indeed, as the Bulldogs took down their second consecutive national championship, beating TCU 65-7. Georgia becomes the first program to accomplish such a feat in the College Football Playoff era.
