Abstract Inonotus obliquus is a medicinal fungus rich in bioactive compounds that has demonstrated significant efficacy in animals when supplemented in the diet. However, its effects on key health parameters in cats remain unclear. This study evaluated the effects of Inonotus obliquus fermentation product (IOFP) as a functional preparation for cats. A total of 20 weaned kittens were divided into two groups, and each group was fed a basal diet or a diet supplemented with 0.8% IOFP (w/w) for 45 days.
