Blurred and occluded target recognition in terahertz images based on improved YOLOv5
Abstract Terahertz (THz) imaging technology is widely used in applications such as security screening, radar detection, and biomedical applications. Nevertheless, due to the inherent limitations of imaging conditions, THz images often exhibit low contrast, blurred contours, and reduced feature information under partial occlusion, which significantly compromises recognition accuracy.
Distribution and fracture characteristics of major lithologic associations in the Upper Paleozoic Ordos Basin
Abstract The Upper Paleozoic strata of the Ordos Basin represent a significant exploration target for tight gas and coal-measure gas in China, where lithological associations and fracture characteristics play a critical role in reservoir evaluation.

A Terahertz Image Target Recognition Method Based on Improved YOLOv5
Submitted: 19 September 2025 Posted: 22 September 2025 You are already at the latest version Terahertz (THz) waves exhibit a number of advantageous properties, including low radia-tion, and penetration capability, in addition to a broad bandwidth. These characteristics render terahertz image target recognition a prominent area of research.

Influence of barrel diameter on exploding foil initiators
Abstract Exploding foil initiators (EFIs) offer several safety and timing advantages over other means of initiating high explosives. In order to increase the knowledge about the barrel diameter on sensitivity of HNS-IV, several samples with different barrel diameter were investigated. Mean threshold voltage, and flyer velocity were measured and compared.
Multidimensional Analyses Reveal Unequal Resource, Economic, and Environmental Gains and Losses among the Global Aluminum Trade Leaders
Disputes around trade inequality have been growing over the last 2 decades, with different countries claiming inequality in different terms including monetary deficits, resource appropriation and degradation, and environmental emission transfer. Despite prior input–output-based studies analyzing multidimensional trade consequences at the sector level, there is a lack of bottom-up studies that uncover the complexity of trade imbalances at the product level.
Paternal Exposure to PM2.5 Programs Offspring’s Energy Homeostasis
Considerable studies show that maternal exposure to ambient fine particulate matter (PM2.5) programs offspring’s susceptibility to obesity. However, few studies have investigated the effect of paternal PM2.5 exposure on offspring’s energy homeostasis. This study thus tested whether paternal PM2.5 exposure programs offspring’s energy homeostasis. Male C57Bl/6J mice were exposed to filtered air or concentrated ambient PM2.5 (CAP) for 12 weeks and then mated with normal female C57Bl/6J mice.
The Characteristics and Trends of Socioeconomic Metabolism in China
China has become the country with the largest resource use and has high levels of waste emissions that pose a great management challenge. To provide more details about environmental problems and to find effective solutions, this article analyzed the scale, structure, and trend of the socioeconomic metabolism in China during the period 1992–2014 based on economy‐wide material flow accounts (EW‐MFA), and predicted resource use during the period of the 13th Five‐Year Plan.

Photocatalytic nanomaterials for solar-driven bacterial inactivation: recent progress and challenges
Nanostructured photocatalysts have attracted ever-growing research attention in application of solar energy for water disinfection. Over the past few decades, various photocatalytic nanomaterials have shown superior bacterial inactivation activity than their bulk counterparts, due to enhanced interfacial charge separation and large surface area providing more active sites.
