Cross-platform Hi-C meta-analysis identifies functional insulators that actively block enhancer-promoter interactions
Abstract The function of topologically associating domain (TAD) boundaries as transcriptional insulators remains a fundamental controversy in genome biology. Here, we demonstrate that bona fide Functional Insulators (FINs) should be defined dynamically by their capability to block architectural rewiring.
β‐Asarone Attenuates Neuroinflammation of Alzheimer's Disease by Activating Autophagy and Suppressing NLRP3 Inflammasome Assembly
1 Introduction Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a prevalent and progressive neurodegenerative condition. The pathological features of AD are typified by the accumulation of extracellular amyloid-beta (Aβ) plaques, intracellular neurofibrillary tangles formed by hyperphosphorylated Tau protein, and a chronic neuroinflammatory state [1].
Map functional insulators with cross-platform Hi-C meta-analysis
Abstract CTCF forms the boundaries of topologically associating domains (TADs) but their insulating function in transcription is controversial. Here we report that functional insulators (FINs) shall be determined not only by their ability to form static loops or boundaries, but also by the dynamic context if their flanking sequences form new loops upon boundary loss.
