The sport of Para alpine skiing at the Sochi 2014 Paralympic Winter Games has been under the spotlight as having the highest injury incidence rate (IR) compared with other sports on the programme,1 and also compared with alpine skiing at any previous Paralympic Winter Games.2 3 A secondary analysis of the Paralympic Injury and Illness Survey for the Sochi Games has allowed for a more detailed reporting of injury mechanism.
Objectives To describe the incidence of injury in the precompetition and competition periods of the Rio 2016 Summer Paralympic Games. Methods A total of 3657 athletes from 78 countries, representing 83.4% of all athletes at the Games, were monitored on the web-based injury and illness surveillance system over 51 198 athlete days during the Rio 2016 Summer Paralympic Games. Injury data were obtained daily from teams with their own medical support.
We aimed to establish further baseline data for the incidence of illness in a Summer Paralympic Games setting. We describe the profile of illnesses in a cohort of 3657 athletes whose attending physicians used the web-based injury and illness surveillance system (WEB-IISS) at the Rio 2016 Summer Paralympic Games. This initiative forms part of a larger prospective cohort study of Paralympic athletes at the various Games settings from the London Games onwards.

Exact case matching or punctuation
If you're searching for a brand name or keyword that relies on specific punctuation marks or capitalization, you can
find results that match your exact query by adding matchcase: before the keyword you're searching for, like matchcase:E*TRADE .
Use parentheses to separate multiple
boolean phrases. For example, to find journalists talking about having fun in Disney World or
Disneyland, search for ("disney world" OR disneyland) AND fun.
An asterisk can be used to search for any variation of a root word truncated by the asterisk. For example, searching for admin* will return results for administrator, administration, administer, administered, etc.
A near operator is an AND operator where you can control the distance between the words. You can vary the distance the near operation uses by adding a forward slash and number (between 0-99) such as strawberries NEAR/10 "whipped cream", which means the strawberries must exist within 10 words of "whipped cream".
