Development and internal validation of a machine learning-based clinical prediction model for liver metastasis in stage III–IV non-small cell lung cancer
Abstract Liver metastasis is among the major determinants of prognosis in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), and early identification of high-risk patients has direct implications for clinical management. We retrospectively enrolled 849 patients with stage III–IV NSCLC and split them 8:2 into a training set (n = 679) and an internal validation set (n = 170).
Integrated analysis of isorhamnetin-associated targets in chronic pancreatitis and pancreatic cancer: immune-infiltration associations and antitumor effects in pancreatic cancer cells
Abstract Objective: Chronic pancreatitis (CP) creates an inflammatory pancreatic microenvironment and is an established risk factor for pancreatic cancer (PC). However, immune-inflammatory links between CP and PC remain unclear. Isorhamnetin (ISO), a natural flavonoid with anti-inflammatory and antitumor activities, may influence pancreatic inflammatory signaling.

Metatranscriptomics reveals urbanization-driven divergence in rodent viromes and zoonotic risks in Chinese megacities
Abstract Metagenomic sequencing has advanced our understanding of wildlife-associated viruses and enabled identification of potential zoonotic pathogens. However, most studies remain geographically limited, with few systematic comparisons of virome compositions across urbanization gradients. To address this gap, we conducted large-scale sampling in two densely populated Chinese megacities—Wuhan and Shenzhen—with distinct climates.
Thermal Evolution and Gas Occurrence in the No. 5 Coal Seam Revealed by Three-Dimensional Basin Modelling, Daning–Jixian Block, Ordos Basin
1 Introduction Sedimentary basins evolve through the combined effects of lithospheric thermal regimes, plate tectonics, and near-surface geological processes, collectively shaping the depositional environments and thermal evolution that govern hydrocarbon generation, migration, and accumulation (Ren et al. 2020; Yang et al. 2022).
Circulating IL-33 as a sensitive alarmin in systemic lupus erythematosus: a biomarker for disease activity and skin-specific manifestations
Abstract Interleukin-33 (IL-33), an alarmin predominantly released by keratinocytes and endothelial cells, plays a pivotal role in type 2 immune responses and has been linked to the pathogenesis of autoimmune diseases, including systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). This study aimed to explore the relationship between plasma IL-33 levels and clinical features in SLE patients. A cross-sectional study was conducted involving 133 SLE patients and 81 normal controls.

Blood pressure trends and disparities across the COVID-19 pandemic in a large diverse urban population
Abstract The COVID-19 pandemic disrupted healthcare systems, daily routines, and socioeconomic conditions, potentially increasing systolic blood pressure (SBP) at the population level. Understanding long-term SBP trends is critical to inform hypertension management and address pandemic-exacerbated disparities. We performed a retrospective study using interrupted time series analyses of electronic medical records from the Montefiore Health System (January 2017–August 2024).
Evaluation of point-of-care hemoglobin testing vs. central laboratory measurements in neonates: a prospective study in neonatal intensive care unit
Introduction Frequent blood loss due to phlebotomy is a significant contributor to anemia in critically ill infants (1). This condition poses serious risks, particularly concerning oxygen delivery to vital organs. A decrease in oxygen delivery increases the risk of severe complications, such as necrotizing enterocolitis and retinopathy of prematurity (2, 3). As a result, hemoglobin levels are routinely monitored when infants are admitted to the NICU.

Synaptic Behaviors Mimicked in Low‐voltage P‐type CuI Neuromorphic Transistors
Neurons are the basic units of the human brain that receive and process external stimuli. The synapse is a vital part of the connection between neurons. Short-term plasticity (STP) allows synapses to perform neural signal processing and neural computation. Herein, low-voltage (1V) electric-double-layer (EDL) p-channel CuI neuromorphic transistors are fabricated by a simple solution method to mimic this type of synaptic function, and chitosan is used as the gate dielectric.

Low-Voltage Solution-Processed Zinc-Doped CuI Thin Film Transistors with NOR Logic and Artificial Synaptic Function
1. Introduction As a key element of flat panel displays, TFTs have been extensively researched [1]. There are fewer investigations into the creation of p-type oxide TFTs compared to n-type oxide TFTs because the high-quality film growth of p-type oxide semiconductors is complicated [2]. Several studies have been recently published on the production of p-type oxide TFTs utilizing conventional vacuum coating techniques. Hye-Mi Kim et al.

Vision Transformer with hierarchical structure and windows shifting for person re-identification
Loading metrics Open Access Peer-reviewed Research Article Abstract Extracting rich feature representations is a key challenge in person re-identification (Re-ID) tasks. However, traditional Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) based methods could ignore a part of information when processing local regions of person images, which leads to incomplete feature extraction. To this end, this paper proposes a person Re-ID method based on vision Transformer with hierarchical structure and window shifting.
