PS4 / For years people who are blind or have low vision needed to memorize video game menus and squint to see the small text on poorly contrasted screens. Physically disabled gamers have had to hope that each individual game had control mapping options, while hearing-impaired gamers had to hunt for the caption settings. Now, however, Sony is the first in changing the landscape for console players with disabilities, likely making the PS4 the first video game console to have such complex accessibility features. The PS4 update, currently called 2.50, will have an accessibility menu which provides a vast array of accessibility options for a number of disabilities including visual impairment, hearing impairment, and physical impairment.
