Combined effect of vibration magnitude and backrest inclination on the apparent masses of seated human body
Abstract Vibration magnitudes and backrest inclination affect apparent masses of the seated human body, yet their interaction remains unexplored. In this study, the in-line fore-aft, lateral, and vertical apparent masses were studied experimentally with a series of vibration magnitudes (0.25, 0.5, and 1.0 ms−2 r.m.s. in three translational directions, respectively) and backrest inclination angles (0°, 10°, and 20°).
