More than a dozen puppies were dropped off at a St. Jacobs animal rescue Wednesday afternoon. Hobo Haven Rescue said the 16 dogs belonged to commercial breeders who hadn’t been able to sell any of the animals. “Two separate litters of puppies that were bred by commercial breeders have not sold,” said Chris, founder of Hobo Haven Rescue.

A 13-year-old Elora girl, who is battling a rare form of cancer, is helping others who are facing adversity. Addison Hill said it's been difficult dealing with her illness. "I have to go through a lot of stuff that I don't really want to, but I don't have a choice, and that's been really hard for me," Addison explained. "She has risen to the occasion with this diagnosis," said Jessica Hill, Addison's mother. "To inspire so many other people, it's so moving.
