A spokesperson for Corio Generation stated: “Given challenging market conditions in the offshore wind sector, Corio Generation is refocusing its global operations to prioritise the development of a smaller portfolio of projects which have the clearest route through to construction. “This will also require a restructure of the organisation to reflect that change in strategy. We are discussing this with our project partners and staff who may be affected by these changes.”

Corio Generation has been shortlisted for four awards in the prestigious Wind Investment Awards. Now in its sixth consecutive year, the annual awards hosted by Tamarindo recognise and celebrate best practice in the global offshore and onshore wind industry across innovation, financing, project development and asset management.

Corio Generation has today announced that Jonathan Cole has taken the decision to step down as CEO following three years of successful leadership. Samuel Leupold is to become CEO, with the change effective from 31 January 2025. Samuel Leupold has been Chair of the Board since Corio’s launch and brings over 25 years of industry experience, including as the former CEO of Ørsted Wind Power. Prior to Ørsted, Samuel held roles at ABB and McKinsey & Company specialising in utilities and industrials.
