In the heart of Old City Philadelphia, the Betsy Ross House is more than just a landmark — it’s a living piece of American history. This modest 18th-century row home, where Betsy Ross lived and worked, tells the story of a woman whose needle and thread helped shape a nation. Unlike the grand estates you might picture when you think of historic homes, the Betsy Ross House reflects the life of an ordinary 18th-century Philadelphian.

The organization has become a sanctuary for neighbors experiencing deep poverty.
