How to Fold a Fitted Sheet
Have you ever tried to fold a fitted sheet and only experienced frustration? Until I figured out the trick, I always used to end up with a bundled mess that I called "folded." The temptation is to match up the edges. However, if you have tried this, you know, it doesn't work. As with the 12-step program adage, "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting different results," matching up the edges will always produce a bundled mess. Let's not be insane.
Democrats invited to help select delegates to state convention
Democrats who were engaged in the 2018 election in Assembly Districts 1 and 3, are invited to help select voting delegates on Jan. 13 and 27. Due to the size of the district, the election for Assembly District 1, will take place in two simultaneous meetings on Jan. 13. The southern meeting will be held at 12:30 p.m. at the Seaman's Lodge, 423 Nimrod St. in Nevada City. The northern meeting will be held at the same time at the IBEW Hall at 900 Locust St. in Redding.
Investigation of a novel variable dosing protocol for radioiodine treatment of feline hyperthyroidism
In an attempt to improve outcome of radioiodine treatment, the treatment protocol in our hospital was changed from a fixed dose of 4.5 millicuries (mCi) 131 I to a novel variable dosing treatment with cats tiered to receive 3, 3.5, or 4.5 mCi based on evaluation of scintigraphic findings. This change presented a unique opportunity to compare the 2 methods of radioiodine dose determination.
Investigation of a novel variable dosing protocol for radioiodine treatment of feline hyperthyroidism
Radioiodine is the treatment of choice for hyperthyroidism in cats. The ideal method of dose determination of radioiodine remains controversial. To compare a method of radioiodine dose determination that utilized thyroid scintigraphy with a standard fixed dose for treatment of hyperthyroidism. Fifty‐seven and 23 client‐owned hyperthyroid cats in the variable and fixed dose groups, respectively.
Fitting In or Standing Out? The Tradeoffs of Structural and Cultural Embeddedness
A recurring theme in sociological research is the tradeoff between fitting in and standing out. Prior work examining this tension tends to take either a structural or a cultural perspective. We fuse these two traditions to develop a theory of how structural and cultural embeddedness jointly relate to individual attainment within organizations.
