MAPLEWOOD, MN — A Maplewood police officer was stabbed Tuesday morning while responding to a report of a disorderly person at a CVS on White Bear Avenue, and a suspect is now in custody, according to police. Officers were called to the store at the intersection of County Road B East and White Bear Avenue around 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, after a report of a possible theft, Maplewood police said. When an officer made contact with the suspect, the suspect attacked him with a knife.
