It Was Suicidal For Nwoko To Challenge Okowa
There are different reasons politicians contest elections. Some do it for pecuniary benefits while there are politicians that contest elections for social mobility even when it is obvious that they will be beaten flatly. Some run for elections with an inner conviction to win though they have no intention to positively influence changes in terms of human and physical developments.

Morka: Birthday With Three Crowns
Naturally, we should roll out the drums, gongs and several other percussion instruments to celebrate the birthday of our dear friend and brother, Barr Felix Morka (CON), the National Publicity Secretary of APC. We cannot just celebrate this rare gift with music alone. Pounded yam served with Ujuju (myrianthus arboreus ) soup littered with wild snails and dried ‘bush meat’ will be certainties. Fresh mushrooms from decomposing palm trees will provide ethnic dimension to the meal.

Imudia: Too Early To Conclude Cause Of Former Konga Chief’s Death
The news of the death of Engr Nick Osaretin Imudia few days ago hit me like a thunderbolt from a ravaging storm in a thick forest. In such a situation, hailstones are not only the sources of worry but the impending tree branches. The pains are multi-faceted and at times with perennial scars. While the family should be allowed to grief peacefully, it is worrying to discerning minds the narrative pushed out about the manner he died.

It’s a kingdom where beauty finds relevance. Agbor is not a strange name anywhere in the world. Its popularity measures with several other top brands.
Godwin Emefiele, Awaiting His Kinsmen For Rescue -By Williams Eghebi
Not many will doubt that Nigeria is a country of tribesmen than citizens. The constitution of the country clearly puts a seal on this truism that we do not have a country but loosely weaved tribes where allegiance is more to the latter rather than the former. This is the reason the recurrent features in data collection in the country include local government area of origin, religion and language. Patriotism is watered down.

Young Tibi Is 70
It is difficult to accept, yet it’s true that Dr. Emmanuel Ute Tibi is seventy years old today. Considering what he has achieved, it is almost impossible that they were attained within this seemingly short period. Does he actually look that age? I am one of the many who feel that with Dr. Tibi, age is a mere number. I am not aware of what the tall man did some thirty years ago that he cannot execute now.
Returning Home to Warm Embrace
By Williams Eghebi Not many soldiers will express their inner fear they bottled when they signed the dotted papers to enlist into the Nigerian Army. It is a stoic disposition that fades as they progress in the service to nation. When young Lucky Eluonye Onyenuche Irabor got admission into the Nigerian Defence Academy in 1983, his peers were not surprised as he had earlier exhibited high sense of discipline and bravery. His service to Nigeria was without blemish.
Nigeria: Edo Election - Akpofure Is the Unsung Hero
There is no doubt, the recently held gubernatorial election in Edo State, to a very great extent, has brought increased credibility to the Independent Electoral Commission, INEC. Aside the credibility to the electoral umpire, the election has added some currency to President Mohammadu Buhari whose rating dropped to all time low as a result of the badly timed removal of subsidy on petroleum products as well as upward review of electricity tariffs.
We need leadership by example | The Guardian Nigeria News - Nigeria and World News
Sometime in 1996, David Barry Dein, who was the vice chairman and co-owner of Arsenal Football Club, had reason to address the press. The essential plank of the media chat was to introduce the then little known Mr. Arsene Wenger as the new coach of the North London club. Prior to the event, Mr. David Dein had difficulties convincing other directors on bringing Wenger to the club. The astute administrator spoke with his usual fluency and dignified gesticulation.
